Edgar Moser - Lead Pastor
Born in rural Giles County, Virginia, youngest son of Tyree and Irene Moser, Edgar is proud of his country upbringing and the many fond memories he has of growing up in a large and Godly family. After graduating as a "Spartan" from Giles High School and going onto Radford College and Emory & Henry College, Edgar moved to Roanoke to begin his career in the field of education. While teaching at his first job, he met his future wife Ginny, who he has been happily married to now for 30 years.
With Ginny's invaluable love and support, Edgar has served as a teacher, coach, and principal, in Christian as well as Public schools, for over 30 years, all while leading Church Youth Groups, teaching "College & Career" Sunday School Classes, and preaching at Summer Camps throughout the Eastern US in his "free time." Along with the Bible, music from Steven Curtis Chapman, and stories from Max Luxcado have matured Edgar's Christian walk over the years as well as encouraged him to help others do likewise.
Steve Pegram - Music Minister
One way Steve loves to share is through music. Playing guitar since the age of 4 Steve is thrilled to combine his years of experience together with his natural talent in leading all who attend Life Pointe in "music with a message." Weekday's Steve shares in a different way - After years of work in retail Steve felt the Lord leading him to start his own lawncare business and though this was a complete turn around for him he confesses he is “happier than ever” finding more time for his music as well as more opportunities to share Jesus to those he works for!
James Moser - Associate Minister
James Moser became a Christian at the young age of 4, but has gone through many ups and downs in his life since then which have matured his faith. Since the late 80s James has had a passion for youth camps following his parents on different stops up and down the east coast and accounts such visits as well as his participation in programs like AWANA and the Canterbury Club for his knowledge and sound spritiual base.
Though James, like his high-school sweetheart and wife of four years Ashley, began as a student of History in college he has gone onto study and teach many subjects taking degrees in Humanties, Religion, and Divinity. One book James believes every adult and child should read, besides the Bible, is C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
