What a Blessing to get together with everyone tonight at Life Pointe Church for a special time of singing, praying, reading, communion, and lighting of candles. Thank you so much to all of you who come out tonight to be such a blessing to me and Ginny! May all of you have a blessed Christmas tomorrow and enjoy it to the fullest! - Pastor Edgar  Who is ready to get to know God better? Attached is a copy of our reading chart if you are interested. Let us know if you are going to accept this challenge by comenting below. We would love to have about 50 people all doing this Bible Reading Challenge with all of us! How about it? Are you up to the challenge? There are several easy ways to stay up to date on the reading. 1. Each daily reading is listed on our Calendar page with a link that will take you directly to that day's reading on the web! 2. Download the reading plan here. 3. Access on Line the plan's page while on the go.  Check out the pictures from Pastor Appreciation Day!       In 40 days you can read the New Testament! There are a total of 160 chapters to cover. You will read 6 chapters a day for 20 of the days and 7 chapters a day for the other 20. You can swap back and forth between 6 chapter days and 7 chapter days or do all of one and then the other. Either way you will be done with the New Testament in 40 days! Join our team as we take the challenge to increase our knowledge of the Word of God.

Congratulations to our brothers and sisters in Christ! Susan, Evelyn, Trish, Angie, Russ, and a visitor were all baptized today, 9/6/2015. Join us as we embark on reading the New Testament in 30 days. It will only require 30 minutes a day. "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15) We officially start on Friday, July 31st.  Join us at 9:30am for a devotion to be followed by breakfast at 9:45am. Then our message will follow. Kids will have an egg hunt. Bring your appetite! Come by for an exciting time for everyone!
On March 6th and 7th, men from Life Pointe will be attending the Ignite Men's Impact Weekend in Lynchburg at the Vines center. Speakers will include Phil Robertson, Jerome Bettis, Coach Joe Gibbs, Coach Tony Dungy and more! If you would like to join us please let us know. Tickets can still be purchased.
